Tell us something about you that nobody at work knows?
I love growing, and making stuff! I’m pretty sure I talk to my veg plants before my children some mornings.
I also have made furniture, jewellery and clothes from scratch; and I love bespoke cake decorating, even taking some orders back when I had time (i.e. before kids!).
I love using my hands to craft or build, and even just disappearing into Lego for hours is like therapy.
Who inspires you and why?
My dad supported, mentored and encouraged everyone around him, he had crazy high standards but wanted the best for everyone not just himself, he was successful but selfless.
Those are the qualities I learnt from him and try to embody, and I proudly see them in my kids too.
I also have huge admiration for working artists and craftspeople, in an age of instant gratification, it is a joy to watch beautiful things being made by hand.
What kind of music do you like?
R&B, Garage, Dancehall, Pop, Country, Classical… so much… but you’ll know soon enough because you’ll hear my car disco coming.
Can you speak any languages?
Arabic fluently (I’m Lebanese) and a little conversational French.
I also speak puppy and child mumbling from behind an iPad (underestimated life skills)
Favourite animal?
Golden Retrievers (I have a 10 month old puppy called Penny), Bunnies, and Snow Leopards.
Best place you’ve ever been on holiday and why?
Lebanon and California for the same reasons; sunshine, beaches, the sea, mountains and trees. The warmth of the people, good food, and the pace of life.
What was your favourite subject at school?
Art, Design Technology, History and Philosophy
What 3 items would you take with you to a deserted island and why?
Can I cheat? A solar powered ice machine/radio/charger/diet coke dispenser – that definitely counts as ‘one’ doesn’t it?

Is there anything you’ve achieved recently at work you are proud of?
I recently walked around a number of retailers and counted over 40 brands or projects that I had worked on in my career. Some units had been in for years and still looked great.
After a funny few years it was a much appreciated reminder of just how much I have achieved.
