Yazoo Valli Forecourt Windows

We recently collaborated with FrieslandCampina – one of the world’s largest dairy cooperatives, who continues to drive growth and innovation within the UK market through its iconic Yazoo milkshake brand.
Our objective for our window vinyl display activation projects was to:

Boost awareness of the new Yazoo Inspirations range at point of purchase.
Drive impulse sales by positioning Yazoo as a treat occasion drink.
Strengthen brand visibility in forecourt convenience retail, a channel with high footfall and strong impulse purchasing behaviours.

The strategy FrieslandCampina identified Valli Forecourts, a respected independent forecourt operator in the UK, as an ideal partner for a pilot roll-out. The strategy focused on high-impact visual branding through exterior window vinyls to maximize shopper engagement before entry.
The execution of this project was across 5 Valli Forecourt locations across the UK for their initial roll-out.

Our creative concept included:
– Bold, playful messaging: “Go On Treat Yourself”.
– Strong flavour callouts: Caramel Blondie and Birthday Cake.
– Eye-catching design with dynamic splashes and sprinkles to capture indulgence and excitement.
– Clear NEW product signposting to spark curiosity.
– Large-format window vinyls applied across store frontage for maximum shopper visibility.

The results were increased visibility – the striking designs transformed store facades, ensuring the Yazoo brand was the first thing customers noticed on entry.
Early sales reports from participating sites showed a notable uplift in Yazoo Inspirations sales compared to non-activated sites.
Shopper engagement feedback from store staff indicated that customers frequently commented on the bold designs, particularly the Birthday Cake variant.
Brand equity reinforced Yazoo’s positioning as a fun, indulgent, and trend-led brand.

Window vinyls across forecourt convenience retail deliver strong cut-through and directly influence shopper decision-making, allowing them to be playful, indulgence-led creativity which resonates with the target audience and encourages impulse trial.
The purpose of rolling out in smaller pilot clusters allows FrieslandCampina to test effectiveness before broader deployment.

It was great to collaborate with FrieslandCampina on this project. The 5-store pilot with Valli Forecourts successfully demonstrated the power of high-visibility point-of-purchase branding for Yazoo.
